Minnie Moo was a kitten who had such a bad eye infection that even
after several months of administering eye medications, we weren't able to
save his eye. He had to undergo surgery to remove his eye. We are
thankful his other eye was in in good shape. Minnie Moo found his
forever loving home. |

This is Sparky (on the right). This picture is in his
adopted home with his adopted sister Wallie giving him a bath.
He almost didn’t make it long enough to get adopted. When we found him
at 4 weeks of age, the temperature was in the 100’s and he was barely
alive. I picked him up and he was totally limp. He was extremely
dehydrated, over heated, full of fleas, anemic and lacking nutrition.
With nursing care and answered prayers, he survived! |

This is Mr. Bill. When he was 18, his owners decided he’s probably
too old to survive another winter outdoors. They wanted to put him to
sleep. But our veterinarian friend would not euthanize him since he
seemed very healthy and happy.
She asked the owners if she could do blood work on him at her own
expense and if everything looked good would they surrender him to Conrad
Strays.
Long story short, he was in excellent health, got his teeth cleaned and
went into foster. 1 year later the same kind veterinarian adopted him to
be her new clinic cat!
Things happen for a reason. Mr. Bill was thankful for his new, warm,
loving, safe indoor life. Sadly, Mr. Bill went to heaven but he
lived 3 years longer than he would of. He lived to a ripe old,
happy, spoiled age of 21. |

| This wonderful boy is Toby. He was due to be put to
sleep October 2005 by his owners because he had kidney failure. He was
only 8 years old. They were not able to pay for his treatment and were
moving out of state in a couple of weeks. With
my experience with renal failure cats, I felt in my heart it was not his
time to go. I asked the owner’s if they would consider surrendering him
over to Conrad Strays. They agreed and Toby is doing great and he is
happy he received a second chance on life. He plays like a kitten each
day and makes sure each day to make a huge mess when he plays in the
water bowl! He is on a special diet and he gets fluids under the skin.
He will remain a permanent foster kitty due to his medical condition.
Each day seeing him so happy, I know I made the right decision to save
him. He knows he got a second chance in life and boy does he enjoy life! |

| This big boy is Big Ben. He was found as a starving
stray. He was thin and had severe liver disease. His appetite for food
and life showed us he had a strong will to live. We believe he must of
eating something toxic. After being on medication for a few months, Big
Ben was given a clean bill of health and months later he was adopted to
a family who absolutely adores him. |

| Meet George. He was given up by his owner at age 15! We
had his teeth cleaned and found out he had kidney disease. We fed him a
special diet, gave fluids under the skin and gave him a wonderful life
in foster. He was such a sweet and loving boy. Quite handsome too. Sadly
George lost his battle to kidney disease but he made it to age 19 and
lived each day to the fullest! |

| This handsome fellow is Tazy. While with us, he had
several dentals because of his severe dental disease. The last dental
they removed all of his teeth except for his canine teeth. The dentals
our foster cats need are very important and very expensive.
But we do whatever is needed to provide the best care for them. Good
news! Happily Tazy was adopted to a new, loving home! |
