Vote for Snert!

Snert has the chance to be on the cover of Pet Friendly Magazine.  Three cats will be chosen to be on the cover.  We are hoping if he wins and people read his story, someone out there will want to help sponsor his medical procedures to possible breath easier and to keep him from having ongoing infections that make our little rocket boy feel so poopy.  Thousands of people have met and fallen in love with Snert.

Let him know you love him! He's the only Siamese kitty on there (they didn't list names)

Our adult cats for adoption     Our Kittens for adoption
Kittens that aren't CS cats needing homes

In memory of our little Sparky buddy and his litter mates.  Sparky fought with all his might and had so much spirit we were praying he would make it through his horrible illness.  But God called him home as He enjoys small kittens too.  We know Sparky is in good hands now and we're so thankful we had him for even a short time.  Go play with grasshoppers little Sparky!
The Chestnut Street Cats - 06-05-09 Update!

FIV is only spread to other cats and no other animal or person can catch it.  FIV is mostly spread thru deep bite wounds from one cat to another.  They are very healthy and could live into their teen years. Please help us find them homes.  We don't normally take in FIV positive kitties, but wanted to try to find these two and Cassie Cow Girl homes if possible.  We don't have space to keep them long term so please help us find these adorable kittens homes.  We would be willing to transport them out of state if a home or sanctuary is found for them.
These two ADORABLE, SWEET, CUDDLY, PLAYFUL KITTENS don't have much time left.  (posted 6-17-09)

Shadow and Sheba are FIV positive 15 week old kittens.   Male and female. We can't keep them for very long so please spread the word they need a home asap (posted 4-23-09).  They can be retested in 4 months to see if they are a true positive.  We only have temporary foster home for them and we won't keep them in a kennel for 6 months.  That's not fair to them.   If you know someone who doesn't have other cats and maybe has dogs, these two would make a great new family addition.  They will do great with kids also.  They are only contagious to other cats so people and other animals aren't at risk.  FIV is mostly spread thru deep bite wounds from one cat to another.

We also have a petitie 8 month old adorable little "Cassie Cow Girl" who is also FIV positive.  Her mom and half of her siblings tested positive and Cassie tested negative.  But when we retested her 2 months later, she was positive.  She is too adorable and healthy to euthanize.  She's a character.  She drools when she is happy and gives gentle kisses and love bites.  Who ever adopts her will be one lucky family!

Cassie Cow Girl

FIV cats can live long healthy lives into their teens!

Sue the pit bull is looking for a new home!  As you can se, she is good with other dogs.  She is currently living with 4 small dogs and is house trained.  She is crate trained, but she prefers to be out and on the bed when left alone!  She does so well with other dogs, they actually all share one food bowl!  She does not do well with cats and will chase them.  She is a big lover girl.  Great with people.  Oh, and she's good with kids! She is very strong though and will need some training on the leash and being restrained.  But she's smart and a sweet, sweet girl.  Her owner left her behind when he moved but his friend has been taking good care of her.  She knows sit, down and shake.  For more information, please email:  bruce.a.sara@gmail.com

SPAYING and NEUTERING is the Answer to the pet overpopulation problem
  • 98% of cats brought into shelters are euthanized.
  • 10-80 cats are killed each day in the Treasure Valley.
  • Altered pets are healthier, happier and live longer.
  • 2 unaltered cats in 8 years =2 Million offspring.
  • We believe spaying and neutering is the answer to prevent overpopulation, NOT KILLING!

HELP SNERT BREATH BETTER!

We need help with funding Snert's medical proceedures.
We thought we had a donor for Snert's procedure but they changed their mind.  His vet estimate at West Vet is $1150 to $2700 (To see if there is anyway to improve his breathing.  Currently he can't breath thru his nose and gets infections often).   We have $225 towards his care.  We need to raise money above and beyond our normal very high medical costs.   We can email you a copy of Snert's estimate.

We need new or used bath towels!  These can be dropped off at the Orchard Animal Clinic (in our bins).  110 N. Orchard St. Boise, Idaho in-between Franklin and Emerald.  Thank you from all of the feline kids.

We also need any kind of can food and cat litter.  These can be dropped off at Orchard Animal Clinc, 110 N. Orchard St. Boise between Franklin and Emerald.  Thank you!

Yard sale items needed!
We periodically have yard sales to raise funds but we need more nice items to sell. Due to the present economy, we desperately need funds and donating yard sale items is an easy way to help.

I looked around at all the animals suffering in the world.  I saw the abuse, the neglect, the pain.  I looked up to heaven and said WHY!  Why don't you do something to help the animals?  The reply came back.  I did do something.  I created YOU!"In memory of Rascal, 1981-2002
